Tour announcement
Hello everyone,
I might be coming to you this summer, depending on where you are. Middle Sattre is doing an album release tour which will go all over the country and also Toronto. There are a few mid-August shows and an autumn run of Midwest shows still in the works, but this will keep us covered for the time being:
Tour kickoff show will be July 9 at RADIO/EAST in Austin with Plum Tongue and my dear friend Paige aka Half Dream. After that, I’ll be heading out solo for Kansas City, Ames, Ft. Collins, and Salt Lake City before meeting up with some bandmates in Seattle.
Needless to say I am very much looking forward to this tour. Many special moments are on the horizon: reconnecting with old friends, returning to Michigan (where Wallace and I met) for the first time in years, visiting the Eldorado national forest for the first time since the Caldor Fire decimated a large portion of it. And I am also very nervous. My car has endured many road trips across the country, but I fear I may be asking too much of it with this one. I am deeply afraid of car accidents, and naturally this tour will put in me in a car for amounts of time that could be counted in weeks. But I’ve never been one to let that specific fear stop me from doing something.
Right after I hit send I will be heading out to the Kerrville Folk Festival for four days (more like four all-nighters) of camping and playing music at Quiet Valley Ranch. I’ve got a solo set at Staff Rekerrds on Sunday night immediately after the main stage acts. If you’re going or already there, I’ll see you shortly.
